Postdoctoral Research Workstation

1. Introduction

Approved by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the National Postdoctoral Management Committee (Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security Letter [2008] No. 43), our institute's Postdoctoral Research Workstation was established on June 19, 2008. Currently, two postdoctoral fellows have completed their research and left the station. There are currently 8 postdoctoral fellows stationed, primarily engaged in research on technologies such as reinforcement of soft soil subgrades in coastal new areas, optimization and control technologies for hanging curtain waterstops in deep foundation pits, anaerobic digestion of sludge, sponge city-low impact development technologies, key technologies for disposal and comprehensive utilization of civil engineering waste, inhibition and regulation of typical harmful substances in anaerobic digestion with high solid content of urban sludge, bridge health monitoring, analysis and construction methods for crossing fault zones and pressurized aquifers in subway sections, and research and prediction of frost-thaw characteristics of permeable urban roads.

Currently, three postdoctoral fellows have completed international study at Stanford University in the United States, Worcester Polytechnic Institute in the United States, and Tohoku University in Japan.
